Labour's Day Gift ???

The whole world celebrates Labour Day today, and it is celebrated in style by declaring it as a holiday, but unfortunately for us there was no holiday. Although this thought did creep in some grief for the past few days, I somehow managed to forget it today morning and happened to move out as always, until somebody asked me whether it was not a holiday today and Ahh! I did start feeling a bit gloomy.

As I reached GVN, the place where the company bus collects us, I saw curiosity among the others waiting for the bus, they were anxiously waiting for something and I joined them as well. It was the new bus that we were supposed to get from today. None of us had seen it before. After waiting for a few minutes the bus finally arrived. Hey check out the pic of the bus…

It’s a luxury type of a bus, with good music system (better then the previous bus), it’s a video coach as well, except for the fact that the video is missing. We all entered the bus and tried to get the best seats, everybody looked very happy. The bus then left after waiting for a short period for the benefit of all the latecomers. The bus reached KTC and the people there were waiting with a brooaaadddd smile (Hheeeee) to get into the new bus, everybody tried to adjust after getting in. Then entered Akshay, as per the plan we all started clapping for him.

Akshay was the first one to remind the conveyance team that there’s some work to be done as far as the Margao bus is concerned. He wrote the first mail, which was then replied to by many people. Although some went on the back-foot earlier to reply to the same (some cricketers with good footwork) later all replied to inform the conveyance team about the urgency of the matter. The conveyance team had already begun working by then towards getting a new bus.

So thanks to the old bus, which broke-down on the way some days ago, we finally got a new bus. People traveling by other busses must be a bit jealous now; they enjoyed laughing at us looking at our old bus (especially on the day the bus arrived a bit late). They are silenced as for now. The people traveling from Margao side had at least something to be glad about on this labour day, even though it was not a holiday. So, for all of us itinerant by the new Margao bus CONGRATS to us all and for the rest HAPPY LABOUR’S DAY. Hope you all enjoyed working today, I certainly did.
